Private Introduction Lesson
Learn how to get started with your own dog!
- 1 hr1 hour
This lesson is offered all year round for people who would like to get into dog powered sports with their own dog. We will customize this lesson to your and your dogs needs. Let us know if you'd like to learn more about one activity in particular or get an overview of all of them. Learn about the gear, equipment, training methods, commands and how to get started. We will size your dog for a harness and if you already have gear we'll help ensure it's the right fit. This is a dryland lesson which means we will not do a trail ride but some walking will be involved. A short track is available to test out kicksleds (winter only). Compared to our 2 hour lesson this lesson does not offer pairing your dog with an experienced puller. Most dogs benefit from an introduction lesson prior to taking a longer lesson for kicksledding or skijoring, especially if they are dog reactive, very timid and/or have not shown any interest in pulling yet. This lesson is also offered to dogs under 1 year old. If you're unsure which lesson would be best for you and your dog or you have any questions about our services, please don't hesitate to reach out at firstname.lastname@example.org. Duration: 1hr Email us for dates - email@example.com - 2 dogs max per participant - Please note that Northbound Huskies mainly focuses on Canicross/Canihike, Bikejoring, Kicksledding and Skijoring pulling sports.
