Dog Powered Sports
Get outside. Stay active. Enjoy the adventure together!
Dog-powered sports are a wonderful way to stay active, explore the outdoors and build a stronger partnership with your dog.
From walking and running to biking, kicksledding and skiing, there are plenty of ways to enjoy these activities together throughout the year.
And you don't need a Husky or a purpose-bred sled dog to get started! Dogs of many breeds, shapes and sizes can enjoy harness sports, with activities adapted to their individual abilities and needs.
Whether you're looking for a new hobby, a way to keep your active dog fulfilled or simply want to spend more time outdoors together, there's plenty to explore!
Kicksledding
A winter adventure for you and your dog!
Kicksledding is a fun and accessible way to enjoy winter with your dog, especially if skiing isn't your thing.
Your dog runs or pulls ahead of the kicksled while you kick along to help maintain momentum. It's a team activity where both human and dog contribute.
Kicksleds can also be used without a dog, making them a versatile option for enjoying snowy trails.

Skijoring
Cross-country skiing with dog power
Skijoring combines cross-country skiing with dog power. Your dog runs ahead in a pulling harness while you're connected by a bungee line and waist belt.
The skier does their part by skiing along, helping maintain momentum and controlling the pace.
Some cross-country skiing experience is helpful, but with the right foundation, equipment and training, Skijoring can be a wonderful winter activity to work toward with your dog.

Canicross & Bikejoring
Love spending time outdoors with your dog? Whether you enjoy walking, running or cycling, dog-powered sports offer a fun way to stay active together!
Canicross and Bikejoring are great ways to explore new trails, build a stronger partnership with your dog and enjoy some exercise along the way.
You don't need a Husky or an experienced pulling dog to get started. With the right equipment, a little training and a gradual approach, dogs of many breeds and sizes can enjoy these activities.

Canicross / Canihike
Walking, hiking and running together.
Canicross and Canihiking are great ways to get started with dog-powered sports, and they're activities you can enjoy year-round.
Your dog wears a suitable pulling harness, you wear a belt, and you're connected by a bungee line. This allows you to move together comfortably while keeping your hands free.
Whether you're heading out for a relaxed hike or picking up the pace for a run, it's a wonderful way to explore new trails, stay active and work as a team.
Bikejoring
Two wheels, four paws and a whole lot of fun!
Bikejoring is a dog-powered sport where your dog runs ahead of your bicycle, connected by a bungee line and wearing a suitable pulling harness.
The rider pedals along, assists the dog and controls the speed. It's a team effort that requires good communication, training and an appropriate setup.
For dogs who love to run and people who enjoy cycling, Bikejoring can be an exciting way to cover more ground and explore the trails together.

There's more!
Dog-powered sports are just one of the many ways we enjoy staying active with our dogs.
From relaxed neighbourhood walks and hiking adventures to exploring trails and working on everyday skills, we believe in finding a healthy balance between physical activity, training, rest and simply enjoying life together.
It's not always about going faster or farther. Sometimes the best adventures are the ones where you slow down and take it all in.
